Frequently Asked Questions.
Please rinse out any food or beverage containers before putting them in your cart to ensure a sanitary recycling process.
You can place the following items in your cart: mail, newspapers, magazines, phone books, cardboard, books, journals, cereal/food boxes, milk cartons, plastic containers with a recycling logo, metal soup cans, and aluminum bottles and cans.
Put all commingled materials directly into your cart. Please avoid using bags of any kind. Flatten all cardboard, cans, and bottles to maximize space. If you have a large volume of flattened cardboard, you may place it beside the cart. If there are any issues, we will leave a notice explaining the problem and requesting your assistance.
Place your cart with the handle facing the street at the curb by 7 am on your collection day. Keep it out until 7 pm. The cart should be no more than 3 feet from the curb and no closer than 3 feet from any obstacles along the street to ensure easy access for our driver.
If you have extra materials, place them in a paper bag or cardboard box next to your cart at the curb.
